FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for long-distance running?

While they utilize running-inspired technology, the GEL-NYC 2.0 is designed primarily for lifestyle and casual use, not high-performance running.

How do I clean the mesh parts of the shoe?

Gently dab the mesh with a mixture of water and mild detergent using a soft cloth. Do not scrub harshly as this may damage the fabric.

Do these trainers run true to size?

The ASICS GEL-NYC 2.0 typically fits true to standard adult sizing, but we recommend measuring your feet and comparing them to the brand's size guide.

Can I put these in the washing machine?

It is not recommended. Machine washing can compromise the glue and the integrity of the foam cushioning.

What is the primary difference between the 2.0 and previous versions?

The 2.0 version features updated construction and styling that further refines the blend of heritage roots with modern craftsmanship.

Troubleshooting

Creasing on the upper material

Use a shoe tree when not in use to help the shoe maintain its original shape.

Dirt stuck in the outsole grooves

Use a toothpick or a small brush to gently dislodge debris from the tread pattern.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

These trainers require no "break-in" period due to the flexible nature of the materials. To ensure the longevity of your GEL-NYC 2.0s:

Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to remove dry dirt from the upper materials.
Stain Removal: Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid submerging them in water.
Drying: Air dry only; keep away from direct heat sources like radiators to prevent material degradation.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place to prevent the foam midsole from absorbing excess moisture.
