FAQs

Are these shoes machine washable?

No, machine washing can damage the structural integrity and the Gel cushioning system. Spot cleaning is recommended.

Are the ASICS Gel-NYC trainers unisex?

Yes, this model is designed as a unisex trainer suitable for both men and women.

What is the primary material used?

The trainers use a combination of durable textile and synthetic materials chosen for breathability and support.

Can I use these for marathon running?

These are primarily categorized as lifestyle trainers; while comfortable, they are not optimized for professional long-distance running.

How do I determine my size?

Check the UK size marking on your current comfortable trainers and compare them to the specific UK sizing provided for this model.

Troubleshooting

Visible surface stains on white material

Use a specialized sneaker cleaning kit and a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub the affected area without saturating the fabric.

Inner heel discomfort

Ensure the laces are tied with proper tension and consider using moisture-wicking socks to prevent friction.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your ASICS Gel-NYC trainers remain in peak condition, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Cleaning should be done by gently wiping the surface with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution; avoid using harsh chemicals or industrial washing machines which can degrade the cushioning materials. Since these are unisex sizing, ensure you consult a standard size guide to confirm the correct conversion if moving between gender-specific standards.
