FAQs

What is the total capacity of the bin?

The total capacity is 40 liters, divided into two compartments of 20 liters each.

Do I need to assemble the bin?

No, the bin comes fully assembled and requires no setup other than placing rubbish bags inside.

How do I clean the bin?

Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The inner plastic buckets can be washed with warm, soapy water and dried thoroughly.

Is the lid always open or does it stay open?

The lid has a soft-close function for normal use, but it also features a stay-open option for convenient disposal of larger items.

What material is the bin made from?

The bin is constructed from powder-coated metal for the main body and durable plastic for the inner buckets and lid components.

What is the warranty period?

This product comes with a 12-month guarantee.

Can I use any size rubbish bags?

It is recommended to use standard 20-liter rubbish bags to ensure a proper fit for the removable inner buckets.

Troubleshooting

Lid does not close automatically

Ensure the pedal mechanism is not obstructed. Check that the inner bucket is correctly seated and not preventing the lid from closing. The soft-close mechanism may require a slight push to engage fully after disposal.

Pedal feels stiff or unresponsive

Check for any debris or obstructions around the base of the pedal. Wipe the pedal and its housing with a damp cloth. Avoid using excessive force, which could damage the mechanism.

Fingerprint marks are still visible

While the finish is fingerprint-resistant, heavy or greasy contact may still leave marks. Use a soft, damp microfiber cloth to wipe the surface. For tougher marks, a gentle, non-abrasive cleaner can be applied sparingly to the cloth.

Inner bucket is difficult to remove

Ensure no rubbish is overflowing the top of the inner bucket. Gently pull the handles on the sides of the bucket upwards. If sticky residue is present, clean the bucket thoroughly with warm soapy water.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Hygienic, hands-free operation via pedal.
  • Facilitates easy waste separation with dual compartments.
  • Quiet and gentle lid closure with soft-close mechanism.
  • Durable and easy-to-clean fingerprint-resistant exterior.
  • Convenient removable inner buckets for simple emptying.

Cons

  • Requires dedicated floor space due to its dimensions.
  • Fixed capacity may not suit very large households with high waste output.
  • While durable, metal can be susceptible to dents if mishandled.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: This bin requires no assembly. Simply remove it from the packaging, place it in your desired location, and insert rubbish bags into the inner buckets.

Compatibility: The bin is designed to accommodate standard 20L rubbish bags for each compartment. Ensure the bags are the correct size to fit snugly within the removable inner buckets.

Care Instructions:

  1. Exterior: Wipe the powder-coated metal exterior with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, a mild detergent can be used. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
  2. Interior Buckets: The removable plastic inner buckets can be washed with warm, soapy water. Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back into the bin.
  3. Pedal Mechanism: Periodically check the pedal mechanism for debris. Wipe clean with a damp cloth if necessary. Do not saturate the mechanism with water.
  4. Lid: The soft-close mechanism requires no user intervention but should be kept free of obstructions. Wipe the lid with a damp cloth as needed.
