Setup
- Inspect Studs: Before your first use and regularly thereafter, ensure all metal-tipped studs are securely tightened. A stud key (sold separately) is required for this.
- Personalize Fit: While the boots require no break-in, wear them for a short period before a game to confirm comfort and fit. If you prefer a slightly roomier feel, remember the recommendation to order a half size up.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Soft Ground (SG) pitches. The stud configuration and Anti-Clog technology are optimized for natural grass fields that are wet or muddy. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or firm ground (FG) surfaces is not recommended as it can damage the boots and compromise performance and safety.
Care
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, especially on muddy pitches, remove excess mud and debris from the upper and soleplate. The Anti-Clog technology reduces mud buildup, but some cleaning will still be necessary.
- Wipe Down: Use a damp cloth to gently wipe the FlyTouch Lite upper clean. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the engineered material.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can cause the material to stiffen or crack.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag, to protect them from dust and damage.
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly check studs for wear and tear. Worn studs can be replaced (new studs sold separately). Tighten loose studs with a stud key to maintain optimal traction and prevent loss during play.
