Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the webbed lace loops are utilized to achieve a snug but not overly tight fit. Start lacing from the bottom eyelets, pulling evenly to secure the midfoot. The low padded collar should feel comfortable around your ankle without chafing.
- Socks: Wear your preferred running socks to ensure the best fit and comfort. Different sock thicknesses can affect the overall feel of the shoe.
Compatibility
- Runner Type: The Vomero Plus is best suited for neutral runners seeking maximum cushioning and comfort for daily training, long runs, and recovery runs. It accommodates a wide range of paces but shines during steady, sustained efforts.
- Foot Type: Its accommodating fit and generous cushioning make it suitable for various foot types, particularly those who appreciate a softer ride.
- Surface: Designed primarily for road running, the Waffle outsole also provides sufficient grip for light, non-technical trails.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your running shoes:
- Cleaning: Gently brush off loose dirt with a soft brush (an old toothbrush works well). For deeper cleaning, mix mild soap with cold water and lightly scrub the mesh upper and outsole. Do not submerge the shoes in water or put them in a washing machine.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources (like radiators or dryers) as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Remove insoles to air out if needed.
- Rotation: If you run frequently, consider rotating between two pairs of shoes. This allows the cushioning foam to decompress and recover, potentially extending the lifespan of each pair.
