Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the laces are threaded correctly through all eyelets. Begin by loosening the laces sufficiently to easily slide the foot into the boot.
- Fitting: With the foot inside, pull the tongue into a comfortable position. Systematically tighten the laces from the toes upwards, ensuring a snug fit across the instep and around the ankle, but not so tight as to cause discomfort or restrict circulation.
- Secure Knot: Tie the laces with a double knot to prevent them from coming undone during play, ensuring continuous support.
Compatibility
- Playing Surface: These boots are specifically designed for firm ground (FG). This refers to natural grass pitches that are generally dry and not excessively muddy. Using them on other surfaces, such as artificial turf (AG) or soft ground (SG), may lead to reduced performance, accelerated wear, or potential injury risks.
- Age Group: These are junior boots, suitable for children and young athletes.
Care
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: After each use, especially on muddy pitches, wipe down the boots with a damp cloth to remove dirt and grass. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
- Stud Cleaning: Use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) to remove any mud or debris from between the studs on the outsole to maintain grip.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not force dry them with direct heat (e.g., radiators, hairdryers) as this can damage the synthetic material and adhesives.
- Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
- Refer to Label: Always refer to the specific care instructions on the product label for any additional recommendations.
