Troubleshooting
iPad performance feels slow or apps crash frequently.
Close unused applications running in the background. Restart your iPad by holding the top button and either volume button, then slide to power off. Ensure iPadOS is updated to the latest version via `Settings > General > Software Update`.
Wi-Fi or Cellular data connection is unstable or slow.
For Wi-Fi, try restarting your router and checking your network settings on the iPad. For cellular, ensure you have a valid data plan, toggle Airplane Mode on and off, or restart your iPad. Check your carrier's network status in your area.
Battery life seems shorter than expected.
Adjust screen brightness to a lower level. Disable background app refresh for apps you don't use frequently (`Settings > General > Background App Refresh`). Turn off location services for apps that don't need it (`Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services`). Check battery usage by app in `Settings > Battery` to identify power-hungry applications.
Center Stage feature isn't working or keeping me in frame during video calls.
Ensure you are using a compatible video calling app that supports Center Stage. Check that Center Stage is enabled for the app by going to `Control Center` during a video call and tapping the 'Video Effects' button. Ensure you are well-lit and not too far from the camera.
External accessories (e.g., Apple Pencil, Magic Keyboard) are not connecting.
Ensure the accessory is charged and properly attached or paired via Bluetooth. For Bluetooth accessories, go to `Settings > Bluetooth` and make sure it's enabled and the accessory is in pairing mode. For Smart Connector accessories, ensure the connection points are clean and unobstructed.
