Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Lacing: Before your first use, fully unlace the boots and then re-lace them from bottom to top, ensuring the Compression Fit Tunnel Tongue is centered and smooth. This allows you to achieve a custom, secure fit that maximizes the boot's lockdown features.
- Break-in Period: Like all high-performance football boots, the F50 Pro may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or casual use before competitive matches. This allows the Fibertouch upper and internal components to mold to your foot shape for optimal comfort and performance.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means they are best suited for natural grass fields that are dry and firm. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or extremely hard surfaces can lead to reduced performance, accelerated wear on the Sprintshell 360 outsole studs, or potential injury risks due to the specialized stud configuration.
Care and Maintenance
To maximize the lifespan and performance of your F50 Pro boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the boots with a damp cloth to remove dirt and mud. For stubborn dirt or mud buildup, use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) to gently clean the upper and soleplate. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight, tumble dryers) as this can damage the materials, adhesives, and compromise the boot's structure.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape and absorb any residual moisture.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash your boots, as this can severely damage the materials, adhesives, and overall integrity of the product.
- Product Label: Always refer to the product label attached to your boots for any specific care instructions from adidas regarding composition and materials, as these may provide additional tailored guidance.
