No, this product is designed for exterior use. For radiators, use a product specifically formulated for internal heat exposure.
You should wait approximately 4 hours before applying a second coat.
For previously smooth surfaces, abrading the surface helps with adhesion. For rusted areas, focus on removing loose rust with a wire brush.
Use Hammerite Brush Cleaner & Thinners to effectively remove the solvent-based residue from your tools.
No, the product is harmful to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. Avoid letting runoff enter water drains or ponds.
Yes, but you must apply a Hammerite Special Metals Primer first for proper adhesion.
You are likely applying too much product at once. Apply thinner, lighter coats and ensure you are not overloading your brush or roller.
Perform a test patch first. If the paint reacts or peels, you must remove the old finish completely before reapplying Hammerite.
Ensure all loose, flaky rust was removed via wire brush during preparation and that the metal was clean and dry before the first coat.
Before starting, ensure the ambient temperature is between 8°C and 25°C. Clean the surface thoroughly using a diluted detergent, rinse with fresh water, and allow it to dry completely. For smooth surfaces, abrade them lightly to improve adhesion. If you are painting bare zinc, aluminium, or galvanized surfaces, you must use a specialized metal primer first.
Always stir the paint lightly before use rather than mixing it vigorously. Clean your brushes immediately after the job using Hammerite Brush Cleaner & Thinners. Store the tin in a cool place, avoiding extreme temperature fluctuations to maintain the product's integrity.
