Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Birkenstocks last, proper care is essential. When you first receive your pair, adjust the strap so that your heel sits securely in the heel cup without sliding out.
Care Instructions:
- Avoid leaving your sandals in direct, extreme heat, as the cork footbed can dry out and crack.
- Clean the leather upper with a dry brush or a specialized leather cleaner to maintain the finish.
- If the footbed becomes dirty, wipe it gently with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry away from direct sunlight.
- If you notice the edges of the cork beginning to look dry, you can apply a thin layer of cork sealant to maintain its flexibility.
