The Karen Millen Petite Pleated Maxi Dress is an elegant formal garment designed specifically for individuals with shorter frames who seek a sophisticated, architectural aesthetic for black-tie events, weddings, or galas. Its standout feature is the dramatic fan-pleated bodice that provides a sculptural look, though users should note that the strapless design requires careful consideration regarding undergarment selection for optimal comfort and security.

This garment is specifically proportioned for petite frames. Taller individuals may find the waist placement or skirt length does not hit at the intended points.
No, machine washing will damage the fan-pleated bodice and the structural integrity of the fabric. Always use professional dry cleaning services.
Because the bodice is a statement piece, we recommend avoiding heavy statement necklaces. Opt for delicate earrings or a minimalist bracelet instead.
The dress is designed with a flowing skirt and structured bodice which includes specific architectural construction to ensure it is not sheer where coverage is needed.
Hang the dress on a sturdy, padded hanger inside a garment bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the fabric color and pleat shape.
Take the garment to a professional dry cleaner specializing in delicate fabrics and pleating to have them professionally steamed and reset.
Ensure you are wearing an appropriate silicone-lined strapless bra or bustier for friction, or consider using fashion tape along the inner trim.
To ensure the longevity of the dress, prioritize professional dry cleaning to maintain the structure of the fan-pleated bodice and the consistency of the skirt pleats. When storing, avoid compressing the bodice; hang the garment in a breathable garment bag to prevent crushing the delicate pleats. Regarding compatibility, the strapless bandeau neckline works best with a high-quality, adhesive, or strapless bustier that provides secure support without bulky straps. Before your event, steam the skirt gently at a low temperature if transit has caused minor creases, ensuring you do not apply direct heat to the pleated areas of the bodice.
