The Saucony Progrid Guide 9 is a lightweight trainer designed for adult women who prioritize stability and comfort during their daily activities or training sessions. FAQs
Is this shoe suitable for running?
Yes, it is designed for general training and walking, offering the stability needed for moderate physical activity.
How do I know if the UK 7 fits me?
Ensure your heel is locked in the back and your longest toe does not press firmly against the front of the shoe.
Are these shoes waterproof?
No, they feature breathable uppers designed for airflow, which means they are not waterproof.
Can I remove the insoles?
Yes, the insoles are removable, allowing you to insert your own custom orthotics if required.
How often should I replace these trainers?
Generally, trainers should be replaced every 300-500 miles of use, or when the cushioning feels noticeably compressed or the tread is worn thin.
Troubleshooting
Foot feels slightly too tight after extended wear
Adjust the lacing tension, opting for a looser fit across the midfoot to allow for natural foot swelling.
Outsole collecting debris
Use a stiff-bristled brush to clear out the gaps in the tread pattern to maintain maximum grip.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Lightweight design reduces foot fatigue
- Excellent balance of stability and comfort
- Durable construction handles daily wear well
- Reliable grip across various surfaces
Cons
- Firm cushioning may not suit those preferring extremely soft shoes
- Limited to specific aesthetic styles
- Best suited for stability needs rather than pure speed work
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Saucony trainers, follow these guidelines:
- Sizing: These are UK size 7; ensure you have a thumbnail's width of space at the front of the toe box for optimal comfort.
- Break-in: While they feel great out of the box, perform shorter walks or sessions for the first 2-3 days to allow the upper to contour to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Remove loose dirt with a soft brush. Use a damp cloth with mild soap for the exterior. Do not submerge in water or use a washing machine, as this can degrade the cushioning materials.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the rubber and fabrics from becoming brittle.
