Nike Air Zoom Vomero 18 Trainers - White - Yellow - UK 11

The Vomero 18 is ideal for adult male runners who prioritize maximum cushioning and comfort for daily training, recovery runs, and long-distance running. It is particularly beneficial for those who want to reduce impact stress on their joints.

ZoomX foam is Nike's lightest and most responsive foam, offering significant energy return. ReactX foam provides excellent cushioning and durability with a more sustainable approach. In the Vomero 18, they are layered together to combine the benefits of both.

While the shoes offer energy return, their primary design is for high levels of cushioning. They are excellent for daily miles and longer runs. For very fast workouts or competitive racing, you might prefer a shoe with a firmer, more propulsive feel.

Gently clean the shoes with a damp cloth or a soft brush and mild soap. Avoid machine washing or submerging them in water. Allow them to air dry completely away from direct heat.

The lifespan of running shoes typically ranges from 300 to 500 miles (500 to 800 kilometers), depending on running surface, intensity, and individual biomechanics. Signs of wear include compressed midsole foam and worn-out outsole tread.

The engineered mesh upper offers breathability, which means it is not waterproof. While they can handle light moisture, they are not ideal for running in heavy rain or through deep puddles. Ensure they are thoroughly dried if they get wet.

The Vomero 18 uses a dual-density midsole and an MR-10 Last to provide a stable platform. While not a dedicated stability shoe, the cushioning and structure offer adequate support for neutral runners.

Loosen the laces and re-tie them, ensuring an even distribution of pressure. If still uncomfortable, consider if a half-size up might be more suitable, especially if you have wider feet.

While the foam is durable, its properties can change with extensive use. Ensure the shoes are clean, as debris can sometimes affect the feel. For persistent issues, it may be time to consider replacement after significant mileage.

This can sometimes occur due to moisture trapped between layers or on the outsole. Ensure shoes are completely dry. A light dusting of talcum powder inside can sometimes help if the noise originates from the insole.

Ensure the laces are not overtightened. The engineered mesh is designed to be breathable and conforming; allow a few runs for it to break in and adapt to your foot shape.
