FAQs
What are the exact dimensions of the 55cm cabin case?
The Samsonite Paralux is typically 55cm x 40cm x 20cm (H x W x D), but always verify with your specific airline as carry-on policies can vary.
Can this suitcase be used as checked luggage?
While it is designed as a cabin case, its durable construction means it can technically be checked. However, it is optimized for carry-on use to avoid potential damage and fees associated with checked bags.
How do I use the included packing cubes?
Packing cubes help compartmentalize your belongings. Use them to separate different types of items (e.g., tops in one, bottoms in another) or to group outfits together, maximizing space and organization within the suitcase.
Is the Midnight Navy colour prone to showing dirt?
Darker colours like Midnight Navy tend to be more resilient to minor scuffs and dirt compared to lighter colours. Regular cleaning as recommended will help maintain its appearance.
Does the front-access door have a lock?
The main compartment of the suitcase often features a TSA-approved lock. The front-access door typically closes securely with its own latching mechanism, but check product details for specific lock features.
How do I expand the suitcase?
The Paralux features an expandable design. Look for a zipper around the main perimeter of the case that, when unzipped, allows the suitcase to increase in depth.
Troubleshooting
Zipper is difficult to move
Check for any fabric caught in the zipper teeth. Gently try to wiggle the zipper pull back and forth. Apply a small amount of graphite (from a pencil) or a silicone-based lubricant to the teeth and try again.
Wheels are not rolling smoothly
Inspect the wheels for any debris or obstructions. Clean them with a damp cloth. If the issue persists, the wheels may require professional inspection or repair.
Handle is stuck or difficult to retract
Ensure there is no obstruction in the handle mechanism. Try gently shaking the suitcase to dislodge any potential blockage. Do not force the handle, as this can cause damage.
Front access door is not closing properly
Make sure the contents inside are not preventing the door from fully closing. Check for any internal items pushing against the door or frame.
