Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup and Assembly
The HOMCOM Fabric Portable Wardrobe is designed for straightforward assembly. No special tools are required beyond what's typically found in a basic household.
- Unpack Components: Carefully unpack all parts and lay them out. Verify that all steel tubes, plastic connectors, shelves, and the fabric cover are present according to the included manual.
- Assemble Frame: Follow the step-by-step instructions in the manual to connect the steel tubes using the plastic connectors. Ensure all connections are secure and tubes are fully inserted into the connectors.
- Install Shelves: Once the main frame is built, place the fabric shelves onto their designated support bars.
- Attach Cover: Drape the non-woven fabric cover over the assembled frame, ensuring it fits snugly and the zippers align correctly. Zip up the cover to complete the assembly.
- Check Stability: Gently shake the wardrobe to ensure all connections are firm and it stands stable on its intended surface.
Compatibility
- Location: Suitable for indoor use only. Ideal for bedrooms, walk-in closets, laundry rooms, basements, attics, or garages where additional enclosed storage is needed.
- Floor Type: Can be placed on any flat, stable surface including carpet, hardwood, or tile.
- Space Requirements: Overall dimensions are 162.5H x 125W x 43D cm. Ensure you have adequate space for the wardrobe itself, plus room to open the zippered door.
Care and Maintenance
- Wipe the non-woven fabric cover with a damp cloth to remove dust and light stains.
- For more stubborn marks, use a mild soap solution on a cloth, then wipe with a clean, damp cloth to remove any soap residue.
- Allow the cover to air dry completely before zipping it closed to prevent mildew.
- Do not machine wash or tumble dry the fabric cover.
- Frame Maintenance: Periodically check the steel frame and plastic connectors to ensure they are still secure. Tighten any loose connections if necessary.
- Weight Limits: Always respect the maximum weight capacities to prevent damage: 55 kg total, 15 kg per hanging rod, and 5 kg per shelf.
- Avoid Sharp Objects: Be mindful of sharp objects near the fabric cover to prevent tears or punctures.
- Ventilation: If storing clothes for extended periods, ensure the wardrobe is in a well-ventilated area to prevent musty odors, especially if the cover is kept fully closed.
