No, it is recommended to clean them by hand using a damp cloth and mild soap to preserve the structural integrity.
The low-profile design is generally standard in width, but the mesh material provides a degree of flexibility.
The 740 series varies by model; some versions utilize bungee laces for easy wear, while others feature traditional laces.
While comfortable, they are designed for casual, everyday wear rather than specialized athletic or running performance.
ABZORB is a superior blend of foam cushioning that helps absorb impact and support the foot during movement.
Use a soft brush to remove loose dirt from the mesh and a damp cloth with mild detergent for the synthetic overlays.
Ensure the laces (or bungee system) are adjusted to provide a secure fit without restricting circulation.
Rotate use with another pair of shoes to allow the cushioning and materials time to recover between wears.
To maintain the appearance and longevity of your New Balance 740s, it is recommended to spot-clean the mesh and synthetic areas with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid machine washing or using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can degrade the cushioning materials. Ensure the shoes are allowed to air dry away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, to prevent warping or material damage. Always verify the specific size (UK sizing) before purchase as fits may vary between different versions of the 740 series.
