Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Before your first game, ensure your boots are properly laced. The traditional lace closure allows you to customize the tightness for a secure, locked-in fit. Adjust the laces evenly across your foot to avoid pressure points and ensure optimal comfort and support. It's often beneficial to wear them for a short training session before a match to allow them to conform to your foot.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means natural grass fields that are dry and firm. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or very soft, muddy ground (SG) can reduce performance, increase the risk of injury, and potentially damage the boots or the playing surface. Always match your boot type to the playing conditions.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove any loose dirt and mud with a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape.
- Lacquer Wear: As noted, the lacquer finish on the soleplate may wear off during play. This is a normal cosmetic change and does not affect the boot's performance or durability.
