Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon receiving your adidas F50 League Mid FG MG boots, the primary setup involves lacing them for a secure and comfortable fit. These boots feature a traditional lace closure, allowing for personalized tightness. Please note the manufacturer's recommendation to buy 1 size bigger than your usual size to ensure an optimal fit from the start. Spend a few minutes walking around in the boots to feel how they conform to your feet before your first training session or match. This will also help begin the break-in process for the knit collar.
Compatibility
These boots are equipped with an FGMG soleplate, making them highly versatile and suitable for the following playing surfaces:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are firm and dry.
- Multi-Ground (MG): Modern artificial grass surfaces (3G and 4G).
Avoid using these boots on very hard ground, concrete, or indoor courts, as this can damage the studs and soleplate, and reduce traction.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your boots:
- Clean After Each Use: After every session, gently brush off any loose dirt, mud, or artificial turf pellets. Use a damp cloth with mild soap (if necessary) to wipe down the Fiberskin upper and soleplate. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
- Rinse Studs: If playing in muddy conditions, rinse the studs and soleplate under running water to remove stubborn mud. Ensure the knit collar is also gently cleaned if it has accumulated dirt.
- Dry Properly: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can cause the materials to crack or stiffen. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Store Correctly: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures. Consider using a boot bag for transport to protect them from damage and keep other gear clean.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Never machine wash or tumble dry your football boots, as this can severely damage their construction and materials.
