FAQs

What material is the Barbour B.Li Shae Jumper made of?

The jumper is crafted from premium wool, ensuring warmth and a soft feel against the skin.

Is the fit true to size?

Yes, this jumper features a classic fit. If you prefer a looser, more oversized look for layering, some customers may choose to size up.

Can I machine wash this jumper?

It is strongly recommended to hand wash only to protect the jacquard weave and the integrity of the wool fibers.

What is the best way to style the V-neck?

The V-neck is designed to be versatile; it looks great on its own or layered over a collared shirt or a light silk scarf.

Does the jumper shrink?

Like most wool garments, it can shrink if exposed to high heat. Always wash in cool water and air dry flat.

Where is the Barbour branding on the garment?

The piece focuses on the signature jacquard tartan pattern, offering a more subtle, high-fashion branding approach compared to logo-heavy items.

Troubleshooting

Pilling on the surface

Gently use a fabric shaver or a sweater stone to remove surface pills without damaging the knit structure.

Garment losing shape

Avoid hanging the item on a coat hanger; always fold and store flat in a drawer or shelf.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Sophisticated aesthetic with signature Barbour tartan
Versatile design suitable for both office and casual wear
High-quality knit construction for consistent comfort
Flattering V-neck cut for easy layering

Cons

Requires specific care to maintain the integrity of the knit
Limited to hand wash or professional dry clean
Not suitable for heavy-duty outdoor activities

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Because this garment is made from high-quality fibers, proper care is essential to extend its lifespan. It is recommended to hand wash the jumper in cool water with a mild wool-safe detergent to prevent shrinkage or fiber damage. Avoid wringing the material; instead, lay it flat on a clean towel to dry away from direct heat sources to prevent misshaping. When not in use, fold the jumper rather than hanging it to prevent the shoulders from stretching out over time.
