The adidas Originals Taekwondo Mei is a sleek, low-profile shoe designed for women who appreciate early 2000s aesthetics combined with minimalist, ballet-inspired functionality. Ideal for casual daily wear, these shoes offer a comfortable leather construction and reliable traction, though their flat profile may lack the arch support found in performance athletic sneakers.

While inspired by martial arts, the Taekwondo Mei is designed primarily for casual lifestyle wear and is not intended for heavy athletic training.
The upper is constructed from durable, premium-quality leather.
Yes, each pair includes three different lengths of laces to accommodate various styling preferences.
Yes, the rubber outsole is designed for flexibility and provides a ballet-flat experience, making it very comfortable for natural foot movement.
The shoe features a classic lace closure system, allowing you to tighten or loosen the fit across the midfoot to suit your preference.
Use a specialized leather cleaner or a soft, slightly damp cloth to gently buff out surface imperfections.
Swap the factory-installed laces for one of the two shorter lengths provided in the box for a tighter, more streamlined profile.
Consider inserting a thin, low-profile aftermarket insole if you require additional arch support for extended walking.
To achieve the best fit, experiment with the included lace lengths; shorter laces create a cleaner, minimalist look, while longer options can be wrapped for a more stylized, decorative effect. Since the upper is made of leather, avoid submerging them in water. Use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust, and apply a leather-specific conditioner periodically to keep the material supple and prevent cracking. Store them in a cool, dry place to maintain their shape.
