The Desire Rugs Comfy Washable Low Pile Living Room Plain Area Rug in Blue is an ideal choice for busy households seeking a balance between aesthetic simplicity and high-utility maintenance. Designed for those with pets, children, or high-traffic areas, this rug provides a luxurious 22mm soft texture that is remarkably easy to clean. While the machine-washable nature makes it highly convenient for everyday spills and dust, users should note that the low pile design prioritizes durability and cleaning ease over deep-shag carpet comfort.

It is strongly recommended to air dry the rug to protect the backing material and the durability of the pile.
Yes, the materials used are generally safe for use over underfloor heating systems, though avoid excessive heat exposure.
No, the rug comes with a built-in anti-slip PVC dot and felt backing that provides sufficient grip for most surfaces.
Washing should be done as needed based on the rug's exposure to dirt; regular vacuuming can significantly extend the time between deep washes.
The rug features a 22mm low pile height, designed for comfort and ease of cleaning.
Ensure the floor surface is clean and free of dust, as debris can interfere with the grip of the PVC dots.
Lay the rug flat in a warm room and weigh down the corners with books to help it flatten out naturally over time.
Spot treat the area with a mild detergent before placing it back into the washing machine for a full cycle.
Setting up the rug is straightforward: simply unroll it in your desired location. The PVC dot backing will immediately begin gripping the floor. If the rug appears slightly rippled after unboxing, allow it to lay flat for 24 to 48 hours to let the fibers settle naturally.
For care, we recommend gentle vacuuming to remove surface debris. When a deeper clean is required, the machine-washable feature allows you to use a cold, delicate cycle. Always air dry the rug rather than using high-heat tumble dryers, as extreme heat can compromise the integrity of the anti-slip PVC dots and the felt backing.
