Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly X Academy FG MG boots are ready to wear right out of the box. Simply use the traditional lacing closure to secure them to your desired fit. Ensure laces are tied snugly but not overly tight to allow for comfortable foot movement.
Compatibility
These boots feature a Multi-Ground (FG/MG) soleplate, making them highly versatile for:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are firm and dry.
- Artificial Grass (MG): Modern artificial turf surfaces.
They are not recommended for soft ground (SG) or extremely hard surfaces (like concrete or indoor courts) as this can damage the studs and compromise performance.
Care
Proper care extends the lifespan and performance of your football boots:
- Clean After Each Use: Immediately after play, remove excess dirt and debris from the upper and soleplate using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Rinse Soleplate: If playing on muddy natural grass, gently rinse the soleplate with water to remove mud and prevent it from drying on the studs.
- Air Dry: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can damage the materials.
- Stuff with Paper: To help maintain their shape and absorb moisture, stuff the boots with crumpled newspaper or paper towels when not in use.
- Store Properly: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Never put your football boots in a washing machine or dryer.
