FAQs

Is the material machine washable?

Yes, it is designed for standard machine washing, though we recommend a gentle cycle to preserve the fabric.

Can this be worn as a primary jacket?

While it provides great insulation, it is best used as a mid-layer under a waterproof jacket in wet or extremely windy conditions.

Does the half-zip design go all the way down?

No, it is a half-zip style, meaning the zipper stops mid-chest to balance coverage and ventilation.

Are the pockets deep enough for small items?

The patch pockets are designed for small items like gloves or trail finds.

What age group is the 5-6 size intended for?

The size 5-6 is generally suitable for average-sized children in that age range, providing a comfortable, fitted silhouette.

Troubleshooting

Zipper feels stiff or stuck

Check the zipper track for lint or debris; ensure no fabric is caught in the teeth before zipping.

Fleece pilling after washing

Wash the garment inside out and use a gentle cycle to reduce friction with other clothing items.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

This garment is designed for simple, everyday use. To ensure the fleece retains its loft and insulating properties, follow these care guidelines:

  1. Washing: Machine wash at a low temperature to prevent shrinking or damage to the synthetic fibers.
  2. Drying: Air dry whenever possible to avoid static buildup and pilling.
  3. Storage: Fold the fleece to keep its shape; avoid using wire hangers which can stretch the fabric.
  4. Layering: Wear as a mid-layer under a waterproof shell for full protection against the elements.
