Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your jacket continues to perform as expected, proper maintenance is essential:
- Washing: Use a specialized technical garment cleaner rather than standard detergents to avoid damaging the waterproof membrane.
- Drying: Air dry the jacket in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can degrade synthetic insulation.
- Re-proofing: Over time, the outer DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating may wear off. If water stops beading on the surface, use a spray-on or wash-in water repellent treatment.
- Storage: Store the jacket on a hanger in a dry place. Avoid compressing the garment tightly in a backpack for long periods, as this can affect the loft of the insulation.
