Full details

This Puma Manchester City 26/27 Kids Home Shirt is designed for young football fans aged 8-16 who want to show their support for the Sky Blues. Its key benefit is superior comfort and performance thanks to moisture-wicking technology and breathable panels. A potential caveat is that it's specifically designed for football activities, so while comfortable for general wear, its features are optimized for sport. This jersey combines iconic club colours and branding with PUMA's performance technology and a commitment to sustainability.

FAQs

What age range is this shirt suitable for?

This PUMA Manchester City 26/27 Kids Home Shirt is recommended for older kids, generally between the ages of 8 and 16 years, corresponding to sizes like UK 7-16 years.

How does the dryCELL technology work?

dryCELL is a technical fabric designed by PUMA that actively wicks moisture away from your skin. It pulls sweat to the surface of the fabric where it can evaporate quickly, helping you stay dry and comfortable during physical activity.

Is this shirt made from sustainable materials?

Yes, the main material of this shirt is made with PUMA’s RE:FIBRE fabric, which contributes to the recycling of excess textiles and reduces the production of plastic waste. It is made with 100% recycled material, excluding trims and decorations.

Can this shirt be worn for other sports besides football?

While designed with football in mind, its moisture-wicking and breathable features make it suitable for other high-intensity sports or general athletic activities. However, its specific design elements are optimized for football.

How should I wash this jersey?

Machine wash warm (30°C) on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Wash and iron inside out, and avoid bleach and high heat for drying. Do not dry clean.

What does the gradient design represent?

The unique gradient design is inspired by and celebrates City’s iconic kits of the past, reflecting the different shades of sky blue that have graced the Etihad Stadium or Maine Road pitch over the years.

Where can I find the best fit for my child?

Please refer to the size chart provided by PUMA or the retailer for specific measurements related to UK children's sizes. Comparing with a well-fitting current shirt can also help ensure the right fit.

Troubleshooting

Shirt feels restrictive during play.

Ensure the correct size has been selected. The shirt is designed for a regular fit, but if it feels too tight, consider a size up. Check that all seams are intact and not causing irritation.

Moisture-wicking seems ineffective.

Verify that fabric softeners or conditioners were not used during washing, as these can clog the technical fibers. Ensure the garment is washed inside out according to care instructions.

Mesh panels feel uncomfortable.

While designed for breathability, ensure the mesh areas are clean. If irritation persists, it may be a personal sensitivity; consider wearing a base layer underneath.

Shrinkage after washing.

Follow the care instructions precisely, especially regarding washing temperature and drying method. Avoid high heat settings for both washing and drying. Hang drying is recommended.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Keeps young players dry and comfortable with effective moisture management.
Promotes airflow to prevent overheating during activity.
