Setup
One of the key benefits of the Nike Tiempo Legend X Elite is its zero break-in time. Simply unbox your boots, lace them up, and you're ready for the pitch. Ensure you select the correct size for optimal comfort and performance.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for soft ground (SG) pitches, characterized by natural grass that is wet and often muddy. The metal-tipped studs provide maximum penetration and grip in these conditions. They are not recommended for use on firm ground (FG), artificial turf (AG), or indoor courts, as this can damage both the playing surface and the boots themselves, while also increasing the risk of injury. Using them on inappropriate surfaces may also void any warranty.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your Tiempo Legend X Elite boots:
- Clean After Each Use: After playing, remove as much mud and debris as possible. The Anti-Clog technology will help, but some mud may still adhere. Use a soft brush or cloth and lukewarm water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the FlyTouch+ material.
- Remove Studs (If Applicable): *Note: These specific boots have non-removable studs. If you had boots with removable studs, you would remove them for cleaning.* Ensure the non-removable metal studs are clean.
- Dry Thoroughly: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as these can cause the material to crack or stiffen. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Store Properly: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A boot bag can help protect them from dust and damage.
- Inspect Regularly: Periodically check the studs for any damage or wear. While non-removable, ensuring they are not bent or excessively worn helps maintain traction. Check the upper for any signs of wear or separation.
