Full details

The Viburnum Tinus French White is an evergreen shrub, celebrated for its beautiful white flowers set against handsome dark green foliage. This plant offers multi-seasonal interest, with flowers appearing in winter, blueberries in summer, and evergreen foliage providing year-round appeal. It's a robust and sturdy winter-flowering plant, capable of decorating gardens when other plants are dormant. French White is well-suited for informal gardens and winter displays. It's a compact shrub that can grow up to 3 metres tall. In December, it produces flat clusters of bright white flowers that are visually appealing against the foliage. The ovate, dark green leaves create a beautiful and calming contrast to nearby perennials. After flowering, clusters of blueberries appear in summer, which are a favorite among birds and add significant ornamental value. French White can withstand harsh winters but requires protection from cold winds. It thrives in a sheltered spot with full sun or partial shade, preferring moist, well-drained soil. Waterlogged soil can severely damage the roots. Water the plants until the roots are established. Pruning French White is straightforward; simply trim back any overgrowing shoots to maintain its compact shape. It is an easy-to-grow, low-maintenance plant that can often manage on its own. Viburnum French White is an excellent choice for hedges due to its tolerance for trimming. Plant it at the back of a flowering border, where its lustrous foliage can serve as a striking background.
