Setup, Compatibility & Care

Planting: Choose a location with well-drained soil that receives plenty of sunlight. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball of the plant. Gently remove the plant from its pot and place it in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the ground.
Soil: The plants thrive in various soil types but require good drainage. Amend heavy clay soil with organic matter to improve drainage.
Watering: Water regularly, especially during dry periods, but avoid overwatering. Ensure the soil does not become waterlogged.
Pruning: Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Remove any dead or damaged branches.
Fertilizing: Feed the plants with a balanced fertilizer in early spring to promote healthy growth and abundant flowering.
Protection: Protect the plants from frost, particularly during the first year, by covering them with horticultural fleece or moving container plants to a sheltered location.
