The Anglepoise Type 90 Mini Mini uses an integrated, energy-efficient LED bulb. It is designed to be highly durable and is not user-replaceable.

Is a wall adapter included for the USB power?

No, a dedicated USB wall adapter is typically not included. The lamp comes with a USB cable and can be powered by any standard USB-A port, such as those found on computers, USB wall chargers, or power banks.

How much desk space does this lamp require?

Thanks to its 'mini mini' design, this lamp requires very little desk space, making it perfect for compact workstations, small shelves, or bedside tables where space is at a premium.

Can I replace the integrated LED bulb?

The LED bulb is integrated into the lamp's design and is not intended for user replacement. However, the lamp is covered by Anglepoise's comprehensive lifetime warranty, which addresses manufacturing defects.

What is the warranty period for this lamp?

The Anglepoise Type 90 Mini Mini Desk Lamp comes with a comprehensive lifetime warranty, reflecting Anglepoise's commitment to exceptional quality and long-lasting performance.

Yes, the integrated LED bulb features dimming capabilities, allowing you to easily adjust the brightness to your preferred level for various tasks, from focused work to creating ambient lighting.

What materials are used in the lamp's construction?

The lamp is crafted from high-quality materials including anodised aluminium for the shade and arms, chrome-plated fittings, and a stable cast iron weighted base with an aluminium cover.

Is this lamp suitable for reading?

Yes, its adjustable shade and dimmable LED provide focused, directional light that is ideal for reading and other detailed tasks, helping to reduce eye strain.

Troubleshooting

Lamp won't turn on.

Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the lamp and a powered USB port. Try a different USB port or power adapter to rule out a power source issue. Verify the power source is active.

Light flickers or dims unexpectedly.

Check the USB power source. Insufficient power (e.g., a low-power USB hub) can cause flickering. Ensure a stable 5V USB power source (like a direct computer port or a dedicated wall adapter). Also, check for loose connections at both ends of the USB cable.

Arm/shade feels stiff or loose.

The lamp is designed for smooth, balanced movement. If it feels unusually stiff or loose, check if any pivot points are obstructed. Avoid applying excessive force. If the issue persists and impacts functionality, it may be a warranty concern; contact Anglepoise support.

Dimming function not working.

Verify that the lamp is receiving stable power. The dimming control is typically integrated with the power button; ensure you are pressing or holding it correctly according to the product's specific instructions. A power cycle (unplugging and replugging the USB cable) can sometimes reset the controls.

  • No AC Adapter Included: Requires a USB power source, which might mean an additional purchase for a wall adapter if not using a computer/power bank.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack Carefully: Gently remove the lamp and its components from the packaging. Ensure you have the lamp body and the USB cable.
  2. Position the Lamp: Place the lamp on a stable, flat surface where you intend to use it.

  • Space: Designed for minimal desk space, making it suitable for compact environments.

Product Care & Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe down the anodised aluminium and chrome-plated surfaces. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
  • Dusting: Regularly dust the lamp with a dry, lint-free cloth to keep it looking its best.
  • Handling: Always adjust the lamp by gently manipulating the designated points on the arms and shade. Avoid applying excessive force to the joints.
  • Bulb: The integrated LED bulb is not user-replaceable. If you experience an issue with the LED, refer to the warranty information.
