Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Your Ficus 'Little Miss Figgy' is supplied as an established plant in a 3-litre pot. To plant, choose a location that receives ample sunlight. If planting in the ground, dig a hole twice the width of the pot and to the same depth. If planting in a container, select a pot at least 40cm in diameter with good drainage. Water thoroughly after planting.
Compatibility: This fig variety is compatible with most garden soils, provided they are well-draining. It thrives in pots and containers on patios, balconies, or in borders. It is generally compatible with other plants in mixed borders, provided they do not shade it excessively.
Care: Water regularly, especially during the first year and dry spells. Reduce watering once established, as it is drought-tolerant. Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season. Prune lightly in late winter or early spring to shape the tree and encourage new fruiting wood. Remove any dead or crossing branches. In very cold regions, provide winter protection for the roots if grown in a container.
