FAQs
Are these shoes machine washable?
No, because they are constructed with leather, machine washing can damage the material and the shoe's structure. Wipe clean instead.
Can these be worn as school shoes?
Yes, the Mervan design is specifically styled for school environments, offering a smart appearance that meets most uniform requirements.
How do I know what size to get?
We recommend measuring your child's feet in the afternoon when they are at their largest and comparing them to a standard UK sizing chart.
Is the leather waterproof?
The leather is water-resistant, meaning it can handle light rain, but the shoes are not designed to be fully waterproof or submerged in water.
Are the insoles removable?
The Mervan features standard construction, but if you require orthotic insoles, you may be able to replace the existing ones depending on the fit.
Troubleshooting
Straps are losing their grip
Use a small brush to remove lint, dirt, or hair from the hook-and-loop fastener material to restore connectivity.
Scuff marks on leather
Apply a black shoe polish or leather restorer to buff out minor surface scuffs and restore the uniform black color.
Interior dampness
Remove the insoles to air out the shoes overnight and ensure they are completely dry before the next wear.

Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: Wipe away dirt and mud from the leather upper using a damp cloth after school.
- Drying: Always let your shoes air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can cause the leather to crack.
- Conditioning: Periodically apply a leather cream or wax to keep the material supple and water-resistant.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture buildup inside the shoe.
