Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These boots are ready to wear straight out of the box. Ensure they are laced correctly for a secure, personalized fit using the tunnel tongue and lace closure system. The fit should be snug but not constricting.
Compatibility: The 'SG' designation indicates these boots are designed specifically for Soft Ground pitches. This typically means wet, muddy, or natural grass surfaces where longer, often metal, studs are beneficial for traction. They are not recommended for artificial grass or hard, dry pitches, as this can lead to discomfort, reduced performance, and potential damage to the studs or soleplate.
Care:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove excess mud and dirt using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid using harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Never place them near direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag to protect them from dust and damage. Ensure they are completely dry before storing to prevent odor and mold growth.
- Stud Maintenance: Check the studs regularly for wear and tear. For SG boots, ensure any removable studs are securely fastened.
