Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting started with your Cabin Max Metz bag is straightforward, and proper care ensures its longevity.
Initial Setup
- Unpack & Inspect: Remove all packaging and inspect the bag for any transport damage.
- Telescopic Handle: Extend the telescopic handle by pressing the release button and pulling upwards until it locks into place. To retract, press the button and push down firmly.
- Backpack Straps: Locate the padded backpack straps, typically stored in a zippered compartment on the back. Unzip the compartment, pull out the straps, and attach any bottom clips to their corresponding loops. Adjust the strap length for a comfortable fit.
- Conceal Straps (Trolley Mode): When using as a trolley, tuck the backpack straps back into their compartment and zip it up to prevent them from dragging or getting caught in the wheels.
Compatibility
- Airlines: Specifically designed for Ryanair's 40x25x20cm free underseat luggage. Also compatible as hand luggage with most other major airlines (always check individual airline policies for specific dimensions, as carry-on rules vary).
- Devices: The front organizer pocket is sized to accommodate most standard `iPad` models and similarly sized tablets.
- Travel Essentials: Designed to hold a variety of travel documents, pens, tickets, and personal items.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: For general cleaning, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as this can damage the bag's structure and materials. Allow to air dry completely.
- Stain Removal: For tougher stains, use a soft brush and a gentle fabric cleaner, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
- Zipper Care: Keep zippers clean and free of debris. If a zipper snags, apply a small amount of zipper lubricant (e.g., silicone spray) or rub a graphite pencil along the teeth.
- Handle Maintenance: Keep the telescopic handle mechanism clean. Avoid forcing the handle if it feels stuck; gently check for obstructions.
- Storage: Store the bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
