The Puma Velocity Nitro is a versatile neutral running shoe designed for male athletes seeking a reliable everyday trainer. It delivers exceptional responsive cushioning and secure support for various road running activities, from interval sessions to long-distance weekend efforts. While it offers a robust, hardwearing construction for high-mileage users, runners with specific stability requirements for overpronation may find the neutral profile less supportive than dedicated stability footwear.

Yes, the Velocity Nitro is built for high-mileage training and can certainly be used for marathon distance efforts.
No, this is a neutral running shoe designed to work with your natural stride.
You should have approximately a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe to account for foot swelling during runs.
While they are primarily designed for running, their stable base is adequate for light gym work, though they are not designed for heavy lifting.
It is generally recommended to replace them every 300 to 500 miles, depending on your running surface and weight.
Try the 'runner's loop' lacing technique to increase tension around the ankle and improve lockdown.
This often indicates a heel-striking gait. Ensure you are not over-striding, and consider replacing the shoes if the tread is completely gone.
Running shoes have a lifespan typically between 300-500 miles. Once the midsole foam reaches this limit, it will lose its bounce and should be replaced.
To ensure the longest lifespan for your trainers, avoid using them for non-running activities that may cause irregular wear patterns. For cleaning, remove loose dirt with a soft brush and use a damp cloth with mild soap to wipe down the exterior; avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat can compromise the cushioning foam and adhesive components. If the shoes become wet, remove the insoles and stuff the interior with newspaper to absorb moisture in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources.
