FAQs

What does the 'Chenille' material feel like?

Chenille is known for its plush, velvet-like texture that is significantly softer than traditional wool or cotton knits.

Can this sweater be machine washed?

While a delicate machine cycle is possible, hand washing is highly recommended to preserve the integrity of the chenille yarn.

Is this a heavy-weight sweater?

It provides a comfortable medium weight, making it perfect for layering without feeling overly bulky.

Does the sweater run true to size?

The CP Chenille Crew generally fits true to size, but refer to the sizing chart to ensure a perfect fit.

How do I prevent snagging?

Keep the sweater away from sharp jewelry, rough surfaces, or zippers that could catch on the plush fibers.

Is the grey color easy to match?

Yes, as a neutral tone, the grey option pairs effortlessly with navy, black, olive, and denim tones.

Troubleshooting

Visible pilling on the fabric surface

Gently use a fabric shaver or a sweater comb specifically designed for delicate knits to remove surface pills without damaging the chenille fibers.

Garment losing shape

Ensure you are storing the sweater folded. If it has stretched, dampen the area slightly and reshape it while laying flat to dry.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Exceptionally soft and comfortable texture
Timeless crew-neck design offers great versatility
Premium build quality characteristic of CP Company
Sophisticated aesthetic suitable for various social settings

Cons

Chenille fabric requires more delicate care than standard cotton
Limited to specific color options within the collection
Texture may be prone to snagging if not handled carefully

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your CP Chenille Crew maintains its quality over time, follow these care guidelines:

Washing: Hand wash or use a delicate cycle with a garment bag to prevent snagging. Always use cold water and a mild detergent.
Drying: Avoid mechanical dryers. Lay the sweater flat on a clean towel in the shade to dry, which prevents stretching and texture damage.
Storage: Fold the garment rather than hanging it; hanging chenille can lead to shoulder dimples and distortion of the fabric.
Compatibility: This item pairs well with slim-fit trousers, structured coats, or layered over a crisp collared shirt for a more formal profile.
