The Salomon X Ultra 360 Hiking Shoes are engineered for adult outdoor enthusiasts who prioritize a balance of lateral stability and agility on rugged, technical terrain. Featuring a GORE-TEX membrane for waterproof protection and an All Terrain Contagrip outsole, these shoes excel in unpredictable weather and varying surface conditions; however, their performance-focused construction may feel stiffer initially compared to traditional casual walking shoes.

Yes, the lateral stability provided by the Advanced Chassis makes them very capable for day hikes and lighter backpacking setups.
Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking the leather or machine washing.
While GORE-TEX is breathable, the shoes are designed for durability and protection, so they may feel warmer than non-waterproof mesh alternatives.
It is generally recommended to account for about half a size larger than your dress shoe size to accommodate hiking socks and potential foot swelling.
Yes, the insoles are removable and can be replaced with custom orthotics or aftermarket insoles.
Clean the exterior to remove dirt buildup that can clog the GORE-TEX membrane pores and consider a specialized leather DWR re-application.
Ensure the laces are tightened securely through the midfoot to prevent the foot from sliding forward into the toe box.
Before your first long hike, wear the shoes around the house or on short walks to allow the leather to adapt to your foot shape. Keep the shoes clean by brushing off dried mud after each use to maintain the breathability of the GORE-TEX membrane. If the shoes become saturated, air dry them naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can damage the leather and the waterproof seals. Inspect the soles periodically for embedded pebbles that could compromise grip effectiveness.
