Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Awe Hiker DWR shoes, proper care is essential.
- Cleaning: After use, remove loose mud or dirt using a soft brush. If the shoes are particularly dirty, wipe them with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid machine washing or using high-heat dryers as this can damage the DWR coating and adhesive bonds.
- Drying: Air-dry the shoes in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or heat sources like radiators, which can warp the materials.
- DWR Maintenance: If you notice water no longer beads up on the surface, consider applying a commercial DWR-restoring spray to maintain water-repellent performance.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place to prevent mildew and ensure the shoe shape is preserved.
