Setup: Choosing Your Sockliner
Upon unboxing, your adidas F50 Elite FG boots come with two sockliner options: the 'SL' (Superlight) and the 'Comfort'.
- Remove Existing Sockliner: Gently pull out the sockliner that is pre-inserted in the boot.
- Select Your Preference: Choose the 'SL' sockliner for a lighter feel and maximum ground feel, optimizing for pure speed. Opt for the 'Comfort' sockliner if you prefer more cushioning and impact absorption, especially for longer wear times or harder pitches.
- Insert New Sockliner: Carefully slide your chosen sockliner into the boot, ensuring it lies flat and without creases.
Compatibility: Firm Ground Surfaces
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This means they are best suited for natural grass pitches that are firm or slightly damp. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or very hard/dry ground can lead to premature wear of the studs and potentially reduce grip and stability. Avoid using them on indoor surfaces.
Care and Maintenance
To ensure your F50 Elite FG boots perform optimally and last longer:
- After Each Use: Remove any excess mud or dirt using a soft brush or damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Cleaning: For deeper cleaning, wipe the upper with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Rinse thoroughly with water, avoiding excessive saturation.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources (like radiators or hair dryers), as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using boot trees can help maintain their shape.
- Lacquer Wear: Please note that the lacquer finish on the bottom of the soleplate may wear off during play. This is a normal cosmetic occurrence and will not affect the performance or durability of the product.
