Setup
To get the best experience from your PUMA Future 8 Match boots, ensure proper fit and lacing:
- Lacing: Utilize the customizable lacing options provided by the FUZIONFIT upper. Experiment with different lacing patterns to find the one that best secures your foot without feeling too tight or restrictive. A snug fit prevents internal foot movement, reducing the risk of blisters and enhancing control.
- Break-in Period: Like all new boots, these may require a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions before a full match to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots feature an FG/AG soleplate, making them suitable for two primary surface types:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are firm and dry.
- Artificial Ground (AG): Modern artificial turf surfaces.
Do not use on soft ground (SG) pitches with long, wet grass, as the stud configuration is not designed for optimal grip in these conditions. Avoid hard ground (HG) or indoor surfaces (IC) as this can cause premature wear to the soleplate and may reduce stability.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: The product care instructions specify "Spot clean only." Use a damp cloth and mild soap to gently wipe away dirt and grime from the upper and soleplate. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes.
- Drying: After cleaning, allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally with boot trees or crumpled newspaper inside to help them retain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, use a deodorizing spray or baking soda sachets inside the boots when not in use.
