The Belstaff Chassis Gilet is a versatile, high-performance layering piece designed for active individuals who require core warmth without the bulk of a full-sleeved jacket. Featuring a 750-fill power down insulation and a water-repellent four-way stretch fabric, it offers excellent mobility and thermal regulation for year-round utility, though the lightweight material requires careful handling to avoid snagging on sharp objects.

It is water-repellent, meaning it will shed light moisture, but it is not intended for heavy, prolonged rain exposure.
Yes, its low-profile, compressible design makes it an excellent layering piece under tailored jackets or heavier coats.
Follow the instructions on the garment label. Use a gentle cycle with cold water and a soap specifically formulated for down garments.
The four-way stretch fabric is designed for durability and recovery, provided the garment is washed and dried according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
Because it is highly compressible, you can fold or roll it tightly to save space. Once you arrive at your destination, shake it out to restore the loft of the down.
This is normal for down products. Do not pull the feather out; instead, gently pinch the underside of the fabric and pull the feather back inside, then massage the fabric to close the opening.
The down may have clumped together. Launder the gilet with a specialized down wash and tumble dry on low with dryer balls to restore the loft.
To ensure your gilet lasts for many seasons, proper maintenance is essential. Always consult the care label inside the garment before cleaning. When storing, avoid compressing the down for extended periods to maintain the loft of the insulation; hang the gilet in a breathable garment bag when not in use. If the item gets wet, shake it out and hang it to dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources. When washing, use a specialized down detergent and consider adding clean tennis balls to the dryer cycle on a low-heat setting to help re-loft the feathers.
