The Nike Kawa Slides are designed for use around water, such as at the pool or beach. However, they are not designed to be worn *during* swimming. They are excellent for getting to and from the water.
You can clean your Nike Kawa Slides by gently wiping them with a damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Rinse with clean water and allow them to air dry completely, away from direct heat.
These specific Nike Kawa Slides are listed for 'kids' and come in a UK size 5, which typically corresponds to an older toddler or young child's foot size.
The elastic ankle strap is designed for a secure, comfortable fit but is not adjustable. It provides inherent flexibility to accommodate foot movement.
While very comfortable due to their soft foam cushioning, like most slides, they are primarily designed for casual wear and short periods. For extended active play or long walks, footwear with more structured support might be more suitable.
The slides feature soft foam cushioning for comfort. The product attributes also list 'Leather' as a material, likely referring to a specific component or trim, but the primary comfort is derived from the foam construction.
The Nike Kawa Slides prioritize soft cushioning and ease of wear. While they provide basic foot support, they may not offer the same level of structured arch support as athletic shoes or more specialized orthotic footwear.
Ensure you have the correct UK size 5. While the elastic strap provides some give, slides are not highly adjustable. If discomfort persists, verify the size against your child's foot measurements. Consider if the foot is still growing or if a different fit is needed.
Allow for a short break-in period. If rubbing continues, ensure the strap is properly positioned and not twisted. Avoid prolonged wear immediately if irritation occurs. Check for any debris caught between the foot and the strap.
While suitable for wet environments, all footwear can lose some traction on extremely slick surfaces. Exercise caution on very wet or tiled floors. Ensure the soles are clean of dirt or oils that could reduce grip.
Getting started with your Nike Kawa Slides is simple. Just slip them on! Ensure the elastic ankle strap is positioned comfortably around the heel for a secure fit. There are no complicated adjustments needed.
These slides are designed for active kids in UK size 5. They are compatible with various casual outfits and are ideal for environments such as:
