Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Perform an Allergy Patch Test: Always conduct a skin allergy test 48 hours before each use, even if you have colored your hair before. Apply a small amount of the mixed product to a clean patch of skin behind your ear or inner elbow. Do not wash, cover, or disturb this area. If you experience any reaction, do not use the product.
- Perform a Strand Test: Before full application, apply the color mixture to a small, hidden section of hair to determine the ideal development time for your desired color result and to assess hair compatibility.
- Preparation: Ensure your hair is dry and unwashed for at least 24-48 hours prior to coloring (refer to specific instructions in the box). Protect your clothing with an old towel and wear the provided gloves.
- Mixing: Carefully mix the color cream and developer lotion according to the instructions. Ensure a consistent mixture.
Compatibility
This product is designed for adult female use. While generally suitable for most hair types, results can vary based on your natural hair color, previous chemical treatments, and hair porosity. The 9.1 Light Ash Blonde shade is best suited for those with natural light blonde to dark blonde hair seeking an ashier tone or effective grey coverage. If your hair is heavily bleached or previously colored with very dark dyes, consult the instructions or a professional for guidance on expected results.
Care
- Rinse Thoroughly: After processing, rinse your hair with lukewarm water until the water runs clear.
- Apply Conditioning Treatment: Use the provided conditioning treatment to help seal the cuticle and lock in color and strength.
- Use Color-Safe Products: To maintain the vibrancy and integrity of your 9.1 Light Ash Blonde color and the benefits of the AHA Bonding Treatment, use shampoos and conditioners specifically designed for color-treated hair.
- Limit Heat Styling: Excessive heat can fade color. Use heat protectants and lower heat settings when styling.
- Protect from Sun: Prolonged sun exposure can lighten and fade hair color. Consider wearing a hat or using UV protection hair products.
