Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Birkenstocks last for years, proper care is essential. When you first receive your sandals, adjust the straps while wearing socks to find your ideal tension, ensuring the buckles aren't digging into your skin. For daily maintenance, use a suede brush to gently remove dust and surface dirt. If the suede becomes stained, use a dedicated suede cleaner or eraser. Keep your sandals away from direct heat sources like radiators, as this can dry out the cork footbed and cause it to crack. If they get damp, allow them to air dry naturally in a cool, shaded area away from direct sunlight.
