Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your Copa Pure 2 League boots is straightforward. Simply loosen the laces, utilize the U-throat collar for easy foot entry, and then tighten the laces to achieve a snug, secure fit. Ensure the laces are tied firmly to prevent them from coming undone during play. A proper lace-up helps create that 'locked-in' feel essential for performance.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This means they are optimized for use on dry, natural grass pitches. While they may physically fit on other surfaces like artificial grass (AG) or soft ground (SG), their performance, grip, and durability may be compromised, and using them on non-intended surfaces could void warranties or cause damage to the boots or pitch.
Care
Proper care is crucial for maintaining the quality and extending the lifespan of your leather boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, gently wipe off dirt and mud with a damp cloth. For more stubborn grime, use a specialized leather cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can dry out and crack the leather.
- Conditioning: Regularly apply a good quality leather conditioner or balm to keep the leather soft, supple, and prevent drying or cracking. Follow the product's instructions.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, ideally with boot trees or crumpled newspaper inside to help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Breaking In: New leather boots may feel stiff initially. Wear them for short periods during training sessions to allow the leather to mold to your feet, ensuring optimal comfort and performance.
