The New Balance 740 Trainers are designed for adults seeking a versatile, retro-inspired daily sneaker that balances archival performance aesthetics with modern comfort. These trainers provide an excellent blend of durability and style, making them ideal for casual wear or light activity, though their open mesh construction may not be suitable for heavy rain or extreme cold.

Yes, the New Balance 740 series is designed for all genders.
While inspired by classic runners, the 740 is primarily a lifestyle trainer. For long-distance competitive running, specialized performance models are recommended.
Use a specialized sneaker cleaner or a mild soap-and-water solution on a soft cloth, scrubbing gently to avoid damaging the surrounding mesh.
New Balance sizing is generally consistent, but because fit preferences vary, we recommend trying them on or consulting the size guide before purchase.
The open knit mesh provides great airflow but does not provide insulation or weatherproofing, making them better suited for dry, moderate conditions.
Use a dry, soft brush to gently clear the knit pattern without pushing particles deeper into the fabric.
Ensure a double-knot is used or consider replacing the laces with a different texture if the original material is too smooth.
Check that the shoe size is correct and ensure the laces are snug; consider an aftermarket orthotic insole if additional arch support is needed.
To ensure your trainers last as long as possible, remove surface dirt after use with a soft-bristled brush. Because the upper features an open knit mesh, avoid machine washing or soaking the shoes in water, as this can degrade the structural integrity and adhesives. Instead, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. When not in use, store your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent material fading and breakdown.
