Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your Puma Ultra Ultimate Football Boots is straightforward:
- Sizing: Ensure you have selected the correct size. These boots are designed for adults and are unisex. Refer to the size guide if unsure.
- Lacing: Loosen the laces sufficiently to easily slide your foot into the boot.
- Fit: Once your foot is in, adjust the laces evenly from toe to ankle to achieve a snug, comfortable fit without being too tight. Tie them securely.
- Break-in: Like most high-performance boots, a short break-in period may be beneficial to allow the materials to conform to your foot. Wear them during light training sessions before competitive play.
Compatibility
- Surface: These boots are optimally designed for Firm Ground (FG) and Artificial Grass (AG) surfaces. Using them on very soft, muddy natural grass or abrasive indoor surfaces may reduce performance and accelerate wear.
- Gender/Age Group: Suitable for adult unisex players.
- Accessories: Compatible with standard football socks. The removable NanoGrip sockliner can be replaced if needed, though it's designed for durability.
Care Instructions
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your boots:
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud from the upper and outsole using a soft brush or cloth.
- Wipe Clean: Use a damp cloth with mild soap (if necessary) to gently wipe down the synthetic and textile upper. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Rinse Studs: If playing on particularly muddy ground, rinse the outsole and studs with water to remove caked-on dirt, ensuring all stud channels are clear.
- Air Dry: Always air dry your boots at room temperature. Do NOT dry them in direct sunlight, on radiators, or with a hairdryer, as extreme heat can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Remove Insole: Occasionally remove the NanoGrip sockliner to allow it and the inside of the boot to air out thoroughly, preventing odor and moisture buildup.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Using a boot bag can protect them during transport.
