Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Xodus Ultra 4 GTX, proper care is essential. Following a muddy run, remove loose debris by rinsing the outsole with cool water and allowing the shoes to air dry naturally, away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can damage the GORE-TEX lining. For the interior, remove the sockliner if the shoes become soaked to help expedite the drying process. These shoes are best paired with mid-weight synthetic or wool trail socks to optimize the moisture-wicking properties of the waterproof membrane. When fitting, ensure enough room in the toe box for foot swelling that commonly occurs during long-distance runs.
