Berberis 'Summer Sunset' Barberry is a compact deciduous shrub with a columnar habit. This variety features decorative orange variegation on its leaves and produces flowers in Spring. It is very hardy and can thrive in most soil types, tolerating temperatures as low as -25 degrees. For best growth, plant in full sun or partial shade. Please note that live plants are unique and may differ from images. Ongoing maintenance means some plants may be pruned to encourage new growth. Berberis 'Summer Sunset' is also suitable for hedging, adding structure and interest to your garden. It is low maintenance and deer resistant. Plant in well-draining soil and water regularly, especially in the first year, keeping the soil consistently moist for establishment.
