FAQs
Can I tie the laces for a tighter fit?
The laces are designed primarily for the slip-on aesthetic and have limited adjustment capacity, so they should not be overtightened.
Are these shoes machine washable?
While many Skechers are washable, we recommend checking the specific tag on your pair; if not specified, it is safest to spot clean by hand.
Is the insole removable?
The Memory Foam insole is generally integrated into the design for optimal support and is not intended to be removed.
Are these suitable for heavy gym workouts?
These are casual trainers intended for walking and daily wear; they do not provide the lateral stability required for heavy gym or court-based sports.
How do the shoes help animals?
The BOBS from Skechers line is dedicated to supporting pet-related causes, with proceeds from every purchase used to help save shelter animals.
Do these come in other colours?
Yes, the series includes several colour options such as Black, Pink, and Green depending on current stock availability.
Troubleshooting
Heel slipping while walking
Ensure your foot is fully pushed into the Heel Pillow; if slipping continues, you may need a thinner or thicker sock to adjust the interior volume.
Insole feels compressed
Remove the insole if possible to air it out, or allow the shoes 24 hours of rest to let the memory foam recover its structure.
Mesh upper is dirty
Use a mild soap and a soft-bristled brush to gently spot clean the affected area rather than submerging the entire shoe.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Effortless hands-free entry for busy lifestyles
- Breathable mesh material prevents overheating
- Memory foam offers high-quality underfoot cushioning
- Versatile casual design suitable for various outfits
Cons
- Not intended for high-intensity athletic performance
- Laces are largely aesthetic and provide limited structural adjustment
- Mesh material may require careful cleaning to avoid snags
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To get the best performance from your trainers, ensure you choose the correct UK sizing, as the memory foam requires an accurate fit to distribute pressure evenly.
Care Instructions:
- Surface Cleaning: Wipe away loose dirt with a soft brush or a damp cloth after each use to keep the mesh clear of debris.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use industrial cleaners or bleach as these can compromise the integrity of the mesh and the cushioning foam.
- Air Dry: Always allow your trainers to air dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, to prevent warping or foam degradation.
