Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Preparation is key for optimal results:
- Surface Cleaning: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and grime. For exterior use, wash with a suitable cleaner and rinse thoroughly.
- Stripping & Sanding: Remove any loose or flaking paint. Lightly sand glossy surfaces to provide a key for the paint to adhere to.
- Priming: For best results and maximum adhesion, apply a suitable Johnstone's primer. Use a metal primer for bare metal surfaces and a wood primer for bare or stained wood.
- Application: Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Apply using a good quality brush or roller. Avoid applying in very cold or damp conditions, or in direct sunlight.
- Coats: Apply one or two coats as needed, allowing adequate drying time between coats.
Compatibility:
- Suitable for interior and exterior wood and metal.
- Not recommended for floors or surfaces subject to heavy abrasion.
Care:
- Clean brushes and equipment immediately after use with water.
- Wipe away light marks or scuffs with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
